BiblioBoard is part of a larger, sustainable ecosystem for the curation and distribution of history. We have created a free platform that empowers organizations, cultural institutions and individual curators to create rich multimedia products for the web and a growing number of consumer tablets from a single interface. In addition to accessing BiblioBoard on the web, you can download BiblioBoard for the iPad®, Kindle Fire® HD and Nexus® tablets.
You will find Anthologies, which are curated collections of books, images, documents, artifacts, sounds and video related to a specific theme. Anthologies differ in size and scope, but generally you will find dozens of books and other pieces of media related to a topic.
All Anthologies are created using our free authoring tool called BiblioBoard Creator. Some Anthologies are hand-built from the vast libraries of public domain content, creating a visual and thematically guided experience to these historical materials. Others are created by a growing number of organizations seeking to tell their own stories and earn a sustainable revenue stream for their efforts in preserving, organizing and presenting the historical materials.
We like to say that BiblioBoard is where historical discovery meets pop culture, and a short tour of the site will show how varied these historical collections can be. From Ancient Egypt to 90′s Punk Rock. New Anthologies are being added by our partners every day, so keep checking back to see the latest creations.
