We donate a portion of our after tax profit to the following organizations because we support their missions. $1 from every BiblioLife anthology purchased on BiblioBoard will be donated to the Internet Archive to help in their ongoing effort to digitize and preserve the world’s history. A vibrant Open Source community and grant based organizations committed to the preservation of books in the public domain help us keep books accessible in multiple formats worldwide. The following organizations use public and private funds to do their work and in the process they enable the kind of value-add work we do everyday.

We work closely with the College of Charleston on the BiblioLife Scholarship to identify and retain the best software engineering talent in our state. This 4 year full scholarship for a rising Computer Science major has been an important part of our working relationship with CofC. We believe that “computing is a liberal art” and are working hard to establish a new paradigm in the academic approach to software engineering culture.
Charleston Java Users Group. This group was started to bring Charleston area technology professionals together to discuss Java and related technologies used to create scalable enterprise grade applications.
We are working in a leadership role with the CDC in the establishment of a new 14,000 square foot technology incubator only a quarter mile from our offices. We have a long history of working with the CDC and are very excited about what this new facility means for Charleston.

BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences (or unconferences). They are open, participatory workshop-events, where the content is provided by participants. The first BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, and were related to open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats. We are proud to be a presenter and sponsor of the local chapter.
